GALLERY INFORMATION
AKI Gallery
Founded in Taipei, Taiwan in 2002, AKI Gallery started out as one of the few galleries in Taiwan which are dedicated to the showcase of young Taiwanese contemporary artists. Its proactive and in-depth collaborations with international expositions, art museums and well-known galleries, together with the recognition gained within the international community of collectors, have made it one of the most representative contemporary galleries in Taiwan.
AKI Gallery specializes in curation-oriented exhibitions with the aim of presenting the diversity and richness of contemporary Taiwanese art. It welcomes paintings,
sculptures, photography, installations, new media and all kinds of transdisciplinary art projects regardless of the use of materials and forms and geographical limitations. Itscollaborators include Taiwan’s new generation of creators, renowned artists and internationally-acclaimed masters. The artistic footprints of AKI Gallery cover major galleries and art museums in Japan, China, the United States, Britain, Germany and France.
Building on its successful management and curatorial concept, Aki Gallery will be officially stationed in Leipzig, Germany in September 2019 as the AKI Gallery
Leipzig Prospect with the mission of bringing the essence of Taiwanese contemporary art to the European art field in multifaceted ways. It aims to provide a forum for contemporary Asian art in Europe, opening up profound and substantial international exchanges and possibilities.
